Even as someone who doesnt drink often, I could appreciate the variety and the artistry behind the offerings. I wasnt alone on this adventureI brought along a group of friends and my girlfriend. As it was our first visit, we collectively decided to go big and order a little bit of everything. Our table soon became a smorgasbord of incredible dishes Rainbow Roll Sushi, Tonkatsu, Takoyaki, Taiyaki, Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Chicken Karaage. Each dish was a masterpiece, crafted with precision and bursting with flavor. I have to admit, Im not a huge fan of seafood, so there was one dish I didnt enjoy as much as the others. However, I could tell it was impeccably fresh and skillfully prepared. For anyone who loves seafood, this place would be absolute heaven. The other dishes, especially the fried items, were phenomenal. Everything was fried to golden perfectioncrispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and never overly greasy. The Green Tea Tempura Ice Cream was the star of the show, a perfect blend of creamy sweetness and delicate green tea flavor that left me craving more. The service here deserves a spotlight of its own. Every staff member exuded warmth and attentiveness. Even those not assigned to our table would stop by to ask if we needed anything or to check if we were enjoying ourselves. Their camaraderie and teamwork were inspiringit was clear they took pride in their work and genuinely cared about every guests experience. The restaurant was buzzing with activity, yet the energy was uplifting rather than chaotic. Thanks to our online reservation, we were seated quickly despite the packed house. Its no wonder this place draws such a crowdits a sensory overload in the best possible way. What truly stood out to me was how this place managed to exceed expectations in every way imaginable. Its rare to find a restaurant that nails every detail, from food to atmosphere to service, but this one did it effortlessly. It set a new standard for what dining should be not just a meal but an immersive experience that engages all the senses. If youre an anime fan, a lover of rich flavors, or someone who simply appreciates excellent service and vibrant culture, you owe it to yourself to visit this place. And even if anime isnt your thing, dont let that stop youthe food alone is worth the trip. Dont just walk hererun, fly, teleport if you have to. This isnt just a restaurant its an adventure. “ We have been coming for years now. Tonkotsu ramen is to die for fragrant and deep flavor. Georgian roll is also a favorite. The employees work extra hard to make sure everyone has what they need. The place is usually packed and its a tiny restaurant so be sure to join the waitlist. ”

“ Ive been going to Ginya since they first opened. We survived a pandemic together, and Im glad theyre still going strong. The parking used to be free, but now theres a QR code to scan to park. The first couple hours are free so not at all a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind. On the weekends spaces fill up fast for dinner, and even some weeknights so plan accordingly. Luckily there are a lot of types of seating arrangements, from small tables, to sushi bar, to larger group seatings emulating Japanese style restaurants the kind where the table is hip height, you sit on the floor but there is a well in the floor for your legs under the table. Once you make it through the parking lot and get a seat, then the food will keep you coming back for more. On top of the familiar sashimi, nigiri, and sushi rolls, Ginya also offers Japanese staples. Friends and I split appetizers like takoyaki fried dough with small pieces of octopus, sukiyaki korokke a Japanese style croquette, yakitori meat on a skewer, with chicken skin in teriyaki sauce being my absolute favorite, and agedashi tofu fried silken tofu in a fish broth. For sushi rolls, the salmon skin is my goto. Once friends and I make it through the appetizers, we round out the meal with entrees like ramen, rice bowl, or udon. Even though I can make Japanese curry at home, there are many nights Id rather let someone else do the cooking, and Ginyas tonkotsu curry Japanese curry with a fried pork cutlet never disappoints. Being an izakaya a Japanese bar, Ginya has an extensive beer and sake selection as well. If there are any negative things to say about Ginya, its that its hard to find gluten free or vegan options here, though Id argue thats a Japanese cuisine problem and less Ginya problem. ”

“ Yellowtail sashimi is highly recommended!! The pork skew with tomato is very tasty. Juicy cherry tomato. Kokrette and fried squid is very crispy. Beef curry udon is good too. Ramen are a bit too salty for us. ”

“ Had an excellent pre birthday dinner here with friends! We were seated immediately and our server was very attentive. We all ordered a bunch of items and I tried little bit of each. The sushi that we ordered was really tasty, and I got some skewers of chicken and shishito peppers. Both were very good. One of my friends got gyoza, the flavor was great but I think the texture was a little fragile. Got a large 10 piece order of takoyaki that was also made perfectly. An appetizer of tempura soft shelled crab and a tempura dipping sauce as well as onigirl and karaage chicken that were all very good. 0 qualms or complaints and deliciousness all around. Main courses for everyone were different ramens, butter corn and spicy miso as well as some kimchi pork skillets. I ordered a negitoro don that was so good I cleaned the bowl, I couldnt leave without dessert despite how much food I consumed. We ended the night with Taiyaki and ice cream as well as some mochi ice cream. All of it was wonderful and I loved my dinner here. If it wasnt 7 hours away from me Id come here regularly for sure. ”

Definitely get the mixed 8 skewers I opt for teriyaki so you get to try an assortment of grilled proteins and veg. Chirashi and sushi are all fresh and delicious. Miso and Tonkotsu ramen are both bangers. Agedashi tofu was fantastic. If you have picky or indecisive eaters to go out with, or if you respect yourself or even if you dont! just go here and be at peace. ”
